Kawarshi is a 30-year-old football player for the Wadi Degla Women's football club in Cairo, Egypt. She lives in the old city in Cairo and practices at the All Madi stadium, where she also offers football coaching. Her passion for football started when she was only 12 years old. Unfortunately, at the age of 19, she lost her parents. As a result, she had to give up her education and started driving a Tuktuk (a three-wheeler passenger transport vehicle) to support herself and her family. Despite the challenges of being a woman in football, she persevered and became one of the best football players in Cairo. Last year, she was honored as the Best Women Goalkeeper of the year in Africa.
