Bangladesh: Including Us III | GIZ
In a small tidy room we see a poster of Shakib Khan embracing Apu Bishwash hanging on the wall. We see Sathi getting ready for work. Combing her hear for one last time she wears her shoes and gets out of the house. She walks down the alley and joins the stream of garment factory workers heading towards their workplaces. With her small kid-like steps she marches forward with the crowd. Sathi suffered from a viral fever as a small child and became physically disabled. She shares her experience at her workplace and how she enjoys work. She feels lucky because the co-workers and the factory authority are helpful and supportive. We hear from her coworkers and they all say very positive things about her. Everyone agrees that she is a very friendly person with a very lively smile. Sathi breaks into laughter and says she did not have so many friends when she was little. But now after getting the chance to work in Southern Garments Factory, her life changed completely. She is independent and enjoying her life and has got many friends too. Sometimes all the friends gather at her home and they watch movies together. Shakib khain is her favourite hero, and as a heroin she thinks Apu Bishwash is the best match for Shakib khan. She is grateful for being able to work and hopes that every other garment factory has the same facility and attitude to employ people with disabilities like her. ______________ Subscribe here to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJLVqXctUDpmTmfMERGm25g?sub_confirmation=1 Als erfahrener Dienstleister der internationalen Zusammenarbeit für nachhaltige Entwicklung und internationalen Bildungsarbeit engagiert sich die GIZ weltweit für eine lebenswerte Zukunft. Krishi Utsho Business Model_English
Krishi Utsho is an agro-input retailers’ micro-franchise network that was initiated by CARE in 2012 to provide timely access to affordable and quality agro inputs and advisory services for rural smallholder dairy farmers, particularly women. Later, with the support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, KU expanded the range of its product line. Krishi Utsho franchisees sell a variety of quality agricultural inputs at the village level and provide formal private extension and advisory services to the farmers living in their communities. Through selecting and branding franchisees at the very last mile, the network acts as a one-stop solution center for over 51,000 smallholder farmers, particularly vulnerable women through 230 shops in the north-west and the south-west region of Bangladesh, contributing to their increased productivity and resilience.

Improving the Odds: How Credit Building Opens Doors to Homeownership
Nessa Fletcher dreamed of being a homeowner ever since she was a little girl. But, as a single mother with a low credit score and no savings, she wasn't sure how to make that dream a reality for her and her daughters. Everything changed when she met housing counselor Thomas Rivera at her local borrower help center, Chicanos Por La Causa. With Thomas’ help, she learned about budgeting, credit building and down payment assistance programs, and eventually purchased her first home. "I showed my kids, if you have to reverse, it's okay. But keep moving forward, and then the doors will open after that." - Nessa Fletcher, homeowner Visit My Home by Freddie Mac® for information, tools and resources to help you through every step of your home journey, whether you're renting, buying, selling or maintaining at https://myhome.freddiemac.com/. Building for the Future: How Small Steps Lead to Big Results
Living on land passed down from his grandparents, David has always felt at home in Ada, Oklahoma — even if his lack of savings and low credit made it difficult to live there comfortably. Through Chickasaw Nation, he met Kyra, a housing counselor who connected him with the tools he needed to improve his financial situation. 10 years after meeting Kyra, he is still implementing what he learned and has saved enough to build a home on his family’s land. "I feel like I've become more financially independent. Sometimes you can't handle everything. You need help." - David, homeowner Visit My Home by Freddie Mac® for information, tools and resources to help you through every step of your home journey, whether you're renting, buying, selling or maintaining at https://myhome.freddiemac.com/.
